He descended into hell...
‘Three days here is an eternity, you know.’ Judas’ eyes dart; he’s in pain.
‘I know. It was a cruel trick. But someone had to betray me. You knew I was coming for you, right? And they’ve not been the most fun three days of my life, either.’
‘You forgive me then?’
‘Hell is emptied. The devil’s chained to a rock. The blood of my sacrifice wiped clean all past transgressions. All are forgiven. Even you. That’s the whole point.’
‘Well then,’ Judas clasps Jesus’ arms with hands that are still shaking. ‘What now?’
Jesus shrugs. He doesn’t know either.
