another random election thought
May. 6th, 2005 02:11 pmI don't know what to make of the protest vote against the all-female shortlist candidate in Blaenau Gwent.
On the one hand, I like the idea of independent candidates being able to acheive a result like that, I like the idea of Westminster not being able to get one over on the local party and people, I like the idea of someone who's fed up with labout being able to stick two fingers up at them, and right this moment in time I also like reducing Tony's majority.
But.
My Inner Feminist is jumpin up and down saying "you chauvenist mysogenistic andocentric bastards!"
