My current obsession with Jerry Springer - The Opera seems to be eclipsing all my other obessions at the moment. I've listened to the cds through about fifty times since I bought them at the weekend. Well, mebbe not fifty times, but certainly more than once a day. I started trying to write a list of my favourite bits and characters, but I'm just gonna have to go with 'all of it' and 'all of them' at the moment.

In other news, I got co-opted onto the JCR committee as LGBT rep (or token lesbian) and now I'm supposed to take at least a passing interest in student politics and how college is run even though it's essentially a welfare post.

Anything else? I had a 'how not to fail exams' session with my tutor today which went better than I was expecting. And I love my singing lessons. And I've got no sensible work done today, but I feel good again. Back in the happy place from the end of last term. :)

My housemate Caroline is also obsessed with JS - tO. So much so that I have to turn up my Phantom CD to block out the constant singing. I mean, honestly! ;)

Is now a bad time to tell you that they have the vocal score (or perhaps selections) in Blackwell's music shop window??

I'd seen a vocal score online so I knew they existed. *covets*
Me and [profile] vampire_kitten have idly talked about attempting to put on a singthough of it at some point, mebbe an unofficial one like the Buffy.

Yay for the happy place! Yay for helpful tutorials, and yay for singing lessons.
And heh, if you buy the Jerry Springer vocal score you can practice singing with it! Specifically Baby Jane's second half stuff I can see being really interesting to do... and, you know, classical-y enough to be sensible singing as well as fun singing. Or something.
Anyway. Yes. Yay for the happy.

A bit of useless trivia...

The guy playing Jerry Springer (David Soul) is actually part of the original Starsky and Hutch team and a huge Arsenal supporter. There was a write-up about him in the official club magazine

Oh wow! As if I needed another reason to love David Soul. I knew about the Starsky and Hutch, but not the Arsenal-support.
