There's children throwing snowballs
Instead of throwing heads!
They're busy building toys
And absolutely no-one's dead!

- 'What's This?' from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Picked entirely at random, because it was looking at me.

Oh, and I've remembered a cool fact about limpits. The kind you get in rock pools. Did you know that limpits' penises are, when measured proportionally to the size of their body, as long as Nelson's Column? I bet you didn't.

....... that was totally and utterly random. And no, I didn't know. And ick.

since feeling is first
who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;

wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry
- the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids' flutter which says

we are for each other; then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life's not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis

That's probably my favourite of e.e.cummings' poems. Everytime I read the last line I get goosebumps.

For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude

--William Wordsworth

ok, so he was talking about daffodils, but you get the point ;)

Ooooh nk you! Love the poem, and love the pics. Where is that? Is it somewhere you've been? It looks kinda like places I've been although not with the hills so close to the sea.

It's a place in Cornwall, one of the smallest villages you'll ever find, which is probably why I've forgotten it's name... It's somewhere at the West coast, some 25 miles North of Land's End. I'm sure the name is in my travel report notebook, but I can't find it at the moment... I'll look for it tomorrow.

There once was a rabbit
Developed the habit
Of twitching the end of his nose.
His sisters and brothers
And various others
Said "Notice the way that it goes"
One smart little bunny
Thought "That's very funny"
I'll practice it down in the dell".
The rest said "If he can,
I'm positive we can"
So they started doing it as well.
And now the world over
Where rabbits eat clover
And burrow and scratch with their toes,
There isn't a rabbit
Who hasn't the habit
Of twitching the end of his nose.
