anotherusedpageEeeee I successfully bluffed my way through final seminar of term, having been out singing drunk christmas carols til midnight last night and then gotten back to watch the Rocky Horror til three in the morning having not even started on my presentation.
I did "Freud's corruption of the concept of repression". Some of you out there will know my parody character of 'your freundlich neighbourhood psychiatrist und dream analyser, Sigmund Freud (Siggy to my friends)' which I use to analyse people's dreams with for amusement value. Well, I let him loose on Jane Eyre. And got away with it.
"Mr Rochester could zerefore be zeen as a zubstitute vather vigure und Jane must repress her zexual desires due to cultural inapropriateness vich iz not zimply class based." But without the silly accent.
And I got away with it.
I was actually making a sensible point about how not all repression is Freudian. But yeah.
