Coming to a country with free speech? I thought the US was the home of free speech? But apparantly even Georgey boy is now admitting it isn't. Well, at least he's being honest.
Not that Britain's any better. Freedom of speech my fucking arse. A good friend of mine ended up with a black eye during the school's protest last year, when it got cordoned off and charged by horses. She was fifteen at the time, and they had kids as young as eleven there. I was in the US at the time, where they'd made me sign a declaration that I wouldn't protest against the war before letting me into the country. Freedom of fucking speech.
He's coming down to Oxford during his trip, to speak at the Union (debating/drinking club for those who can afford it...) and there're going to be protests here too. Which I actually won't be joining in with, because the whole point of freedom of speech is that everyone gets it, even the people you don't want to listen to. He can talk at the sodding Union if he really wants to. Much joy may he have of it.
