anotherusedpageSaturday nights are overated.
Got dragged to the college disco. Didn't want to go, as the theme was G-Luv, as in Gangstas (with an a) and prostitutes, but then a load of us on my corridor decided to spell gangsters the other way, and do a nineteen twenties 'guys and dolls' theme, which was way more fun.
The music was too loud. The music is ALWAYS too bloody loud. This is why I never want to go... but hey. Spent ages outside chatting to James about civilised things like classical music, and then he went home for an early night. He was even less comfortable with the loud music dancing thing than I was. I mean, I'm prepared to bop, if I'm with mates. He... lurked. And then left.
And he bought me a drink. I asked for JD and coke, and ended up with a gin and tonic. Partly the fault of the loud music, partly the whole.... different world thing. Nice girls don't drink whiskey. Heh.
He is SUCH a sweetheart. He's even got all disillusioned with the Army, and is thinking of quitting....
And then I ended up dancing with another guy. Dancing. Me. I wasn't even particularly pissed. Or at least I thought I wasn't. But then... his face came into the light, and I realised to my absolute horror that he wasn't the guy I'd thought he was. I'd thought it was Wolverine Johnny, but now... I don't even know his bloody name. And when I say dancing, I mean... yeah well.
And then, my flatmate passed out. Quite spectacularly. And threw up all over the place. We had to get her home, and two of us put her in the shower and... I've held people's hair before but... this was quite extreme. Someone else is sitting with her now, while I get myself together a bit, but... they're gonna want to get to bed at some point.
So do I. But... yeah.
On the plus side, Arsenal beat Spurs. I've only just heard that.
