I meant to say yesterday about the footie and didn't get round to it, that good GOD do I see where all the stereotypes about not-wanting-to-watch-football-with-girls come from. I mean, I watch football with opportunemoment occasionally, and she wouldn't know the offside rule if it danced naked in front of her wearing nothing but a sign explaining the offside rule. But she's never managed to irritate me as much as the two girls who sat behind me in the bar, who couldn't keep in their heads which team was which and who was shooting which way for more than thirty seconds, and kept doing girly squeaking right in my ear and being all 'go england, go england, fuck it I don't really care but go england anyway' and GIGGLING and generally being girly and annoying. Now WHY anyone watch if they couldn't follow and didn't care anything about the result except for a whiff of repressed patriotism is beyond me.
The absolute BEST line out of them was when there was a close up of Henry, one of them came out with 'Is that Stevie Gerrard?' *facepalm* I mean what do you say to that?

I doubt that the offside rule has any naughty bits that you could be offended by. In fact, if you seriously expect the offside rule to go prancing about in front of you with no clothes on, we can probably safely assume that you don't know what it is. I think you're getting it confused with a "streaker". The two are very much alike. The way to tell them apart is that a streaker is a person with no clothes on, running across the stadium; whereas the offside rule is a wonky piece of measuring equipment. I think.

Ach, I love Stephie and Titi both in their own special ways. The current slight Stephie obessesion is almost entire the fault of redfireborn and uberwald. Henry, however, is my absolute hero.
Anyway, I could ramble about the two of them all night, but I think I'd better just add you to my flist so you get the rambling spread out over the entire tournament rather than all in one go.
