the randomness
Oct. 9th, 2003 01:25 amAm in the weirdest position of finding BOTH my tutors disconcertingly attractive. I have two, one male and one female, and they're both really young and really... gorgeous. Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately, depending on how you look at it) she's married and he's gay. Which is interesting.
And I finally seem to have managed to get my gaydar working straight. Oooh please excuse the unintentional appalling pun. But yeah. The girl I was vaguely exchanging significant looks with in the bar turned out to be the head of LGBsoc.
And it was probably a mistake to show up to formal Drinks With The Tutors without having eaten anything since six o'clock the previous evening, cos two glasses of madeira (which is what they were handing out for some strange reason) and I was... more smashed than I was happy with. And I was wearing the bat-cape (also known as academic gown) and heeled boots and couldn't walk straight. Which was, again I say, interesting. Interesting seems to be my word of the moment.
On a completely unrelated note, I had a very weird moment of suddenly being completely squicked by the whole RPS thing for pretty much the first time ever. I was just thinking about Becks and Owen and thinking... if it was really happening, it wouldn't just be sexy and cute or even angsty, it'd be... it'd wreck people's lives. Fortunately, I remembered in time that it was only FICTION, and therefore sexy and cute with a smattering of angst is perfectly reasonable. And it doesn't wreck anyone's life, cos it's only happening in my head. But still. It was weird.
In other news... I'm feeling strangely cut off from the outside world. I think it's mostly the lack of TV. I've haven't heard the news for the past couple of days, and only just heard about this player boycott thing. As for actual NEWS news as opposed to sports news... not a clue. I just don't know what's been going on in the world this week, and it's weird.
